The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) and the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board would like to invite you to hear about how the agencies regulate trade practice activities in the alcohol beverage industry. Speakers will be on hand from both federal and state authorities to help you understand what the trade practice rules cover, what types of activities you must avoid in order to stay in compliance, and how we regulate the marketplace to ensure a level playing field.

Topics include:

  • an overview of the trade practice regulations

  • how agencies determine when a violation occurs

  • what guidance is available to keep you in compliance

At TTB, we protect the public by enforcing the provisions of the Federal Alcohol Administration Act (FAA Act) to ensure that only qualified persons engage in the alcohol beverage industry. We are responsible for enforcing the laws regulating alcohol production, importation, and wholesale businesses; tobacco manufacturing and importing businesses; and alcohol labeling and advertising.
